About the Instructors:
Dr. Nora Bonner (Prose) recently graduated from Georgia State University with a Ph.D. in Fiction Writing, and has been publishing stories and essays since 2009 in a variety of literary magazines, journals and anthologies including Third Coast, the North American Review, and the Best American Non-Required Reading series. From 2006-2008, she worked with English learners in Bangkok, Thailand. She currently teaches writing at Lee Arrendale State Prison through Life University’s Chillon Project, and at Georgia State as a visiting lecturer
Dr. Yolanda Franklin (Poetry) is the author of the 2018 poetry collection, Blood Vinyls (Anhinga Press). Franklin is also a Cave Canem and Callaloo Fellow. Her poems appear or are set to appear in Frontier Magazine, Sugar House Review, Southern Humanities Review, and The Langston Hughes Review. She received a McKnight Dissertation Fellowship and a Kingsbury Writing Award at Florida State University, and is currently teaching literature and poetry at Emory University.
