WRITE THROUGH IT: OCTOBER CLASSES!

and some other new stuff…

Dr. Yolanda J. Franklin’s in town, and she’s agreed to offer a poetry workshop on forms. You can view her syllabus here.

About Yolanda:

Yolanda Franklin is the author of the 2018 poetry collection, Blood Vinyls (Anhinga Press). Franklin is also a Cave Canem and Callaloo Fellow. Her poems appear or are set to appear in Frontier Magazine, Sugar House Review, Southern Humanities Review, and The Langston Hughes Review. She received a McKnight Dissertation Fellowship and a Kingsbury Writing Award at Florida State University, and is currently teaching literature and poetry at Emory University.

Meanwhile, I’ll be offering a class on Flash Prose! Stories and Essays Under 1000 words. Check out my syllabus here.

Both classes will meet on Saturdays in October, from 1pm-3pm.

I will also be offering private tutoring sessions for anyone who needs help with English practice. These are different than manuscript consultations–they focus on reading, writing, and/or speaking, and are available for anyone at any age. If you know of anyone who is enrolled in an English class at any level, or an English Language Learner looking for affordable tutoring, please pass the info along!

As usual, I’ll still be offering consultations for manuscripts. Yolanda is also available for those.

The form to sign up is here.

More info is here.

One last thing: sliding scale is (especially) available for anyone who has been impacted by incarceration, is undocumented, or has refugee status. See the sign up sheet for details.
